Hello! My name is Lyndi Peterson, and I am so excited to be moving into the role of Instructional Coach at both Coyote Ridge and Meridian Elementary School for the 2018-2019 school year! Last academic year I worked in the district as a fifth grade teacher at Tarver Elementary, however; throughout the course of the past fourteen years spent in the field of education, I have taught in grade levels 1st-6th as a general education classroom teacher, as well as a teacher in a multi-age Structured English Immersion (SEI) classroom. After receiving my first Masters Degree I worked as a Reading Specialist and Instructional Coach for two years at a K-5 school in the Litchfield Elementary School District in Litchfield Park, Arizona. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Speech Communication, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading Instruction. I am a certified Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist K-12. I am also a Level 1 Certified Instructor for the Wilson Reading System Program and I hold a certification from Wilson Language as a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner. Just recently, I was also fortunate enough to complete the Ritchie Program for School Leadership through Denver University and the Adams 12 School District to obtain my Principal Certification.
I have been married for eleven years to my wonderful husband, Brian, and we have three beautiful children ages 9, 7, and 5 that all attend Tarver Elementary. My husband coaches basketball, baseball, and football for our son, and our girls keep us very busy with their dance classes and recitals! In my time away from school I enjoy reading, shopping, and enjoying the gorgeous state that we live in. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year, and I am truly excited to be joining the Coyote Ridge and Meridian teams! I'm looking forward to meeting you all this school year. Please don't hesitate to reach out before then with any questions!
