I am thrilled to be the English Language Development teacher and Gifted Talented Coordinator at Meridian again this year.
My teaching career started 16 years ago in San Francisco public schools. Since then, I have enjoyed teaching middle school science, gifted education, special education, and language instruction to a diverse group of learners. I find it fascinating how differently our brains work and how we must strive to reach all levels of students in the classroom.
I earned a Graduate Degree from California State University, Chico in Psychology & Child Development, My Professional Credentials are endorsed in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learning and Special Education.
I love escaping to the mountains, snowboarding, exercise, reading, learning new things, and iced coffee. I am often found in the neighborhood playing with my family of 6 including our elder English black lab, Malcolm. My son graduated from Meridian and my daughters will too. We love the Meridian community!
I am committed to helping your child expand their strengths, develop skills, and overcome challenges. I am invested in educational success academically, socially, and emotionally.
