This is my 24th year of teaching. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Grove City College in Pittsburgh, PA. I then went on to receive a Master's of Education with Special Education, Early Childhood, and Reading Specialist K-12 endorsements and certifications from Slippery Rock University. After teaching for 9 years in Pennsylvania, our family moved to Orlando, FL where we lived and I taught for 10 years. While in Florida, I also earned my endorsement for English Language Learners. We then spent 5 years in Scottsdale, AZ before moving to Colorado a year and a half ago. I have taught every grade K-5. I have been a reading specialist and RTI coach. I have taught general special education as a learning specialist, as an inclusion teacher, as well as teaching specialized autism programs.
Besides teaching, I love being a mom to my five children. I have four amazing daughters and an awesome son. They range in age from 11 years old to 17 years old. I am enjoying watching them grow and develop into young adults, teenagers, and pre-teens. They keep me busy, and I love spending time with them at their many activities. As a family, we enjoy traveling, going to sporting events, and participating in family activities.
