Meridian students lead welcome tours for new students
The Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team partnered with the teachers who lead Student Council to create "New Student Welcome Tours" led by Student Council reps.
The students created a map and tour plan. They also made welcome "kits" that include a homemade card and a few pieces of Meridian "swag" (cups, pencils, pens, fidget spinners, etc with the Meridian logo). When a new student enrolls (newcomer or not), Office Manager Chandra selects two student council reps to let them know they'll be giving a tour. Chandra introduces the reps to the new student(s), they give the tour, and then the new students are given their welcome kit!
