Meridian News 5-21-20

Dear Meridian Families,

Student Item Pick up was a success! 80% of our families picked up student items . Any items remaining will be stored until fall. We are still looking for over 100 library books so please hold on to any that you find and enjoy a few more reads over the summer.

Please be sure to review our final WOW Wednesday message sent out on 5/20 to help us celebrate successes this year and to hear updates on staff who are not returning for the 20-21 school year.

We hope that you are able to join us next Tuesday and Thursday. We will be hosting Virtual Family Math Nights via Zoom with some tips on how to boost math skills over the summer for parents. This will be facilitated by our Instructional Coach and a District Math Coach. Please Save the Dates!

Virtual Math Nights:

  • K-2 Tuesday, May 26th: 4-5 pm
  • 3-5 Thursday, May 28: 3-4 pm

We look forward to seeing our 5th graders for a final farewell as we send them off to middle school at our 5th Grade Continuation Parade this evening.

As we know that this year has definitely ended differently then we would have ever anticipated, we are forever humbled by the support of our staff and parents who helped to end this year strong with a great sense of hope!

Please continue to look for updates throughout the summer. Remind anyone with an incoming Kinder student that we are still accepting K registrations. They can email all registration information directly to Please register your Kindergarten student today!

Have a great summer!

Principal McKenzie
